Here's a new idea: You go to Amazon or ebay to shop for consumer goods. But you also feel like spending some money once in a while for other people less privileged than yourself. It makes you feel good about yourself if you can directly help someone in need.
Problem is: how do you find people you can directly help? You can give money and stuff to organizations, or send a few dollars to some relief fund in Haiti or Indonesia. But how do you know that your money actually gets to the real people who need your help?
That is the problem we address here. People who need help register here only if recommended by a hospital, or their school, or a recognized newspaper or journalist, or an official notary public or government official. Organizations also do register. Contact information is provided so a potential donor can satisfy themselves that the need is real. Then the donor donates whatever they want to directly to the receiver. We or anyone else do not have any say in who you donate or what you donate; or even how you donate. We just facilitate the process by bringing together those who need to give and those who need to receive. And donate our time and efforts and do our own humble charity in the process.
